    Look at the space you have and the crop you hope to get. You need to be 'space efficient' Potatoes need a lot of space and are cheap to buy and you use a lot ...not a good crop. similar to onions (except spring onions) BUT peppers / aubergines / tomatoes / fresh herbs / cut and come again...

    Hedges for privacy The hedge they use a lot in Spain is called Myoporum (or something similar) I just ask for 'hedge'. It is quick growing, easy to prune at all stages of height and the trunks burn well in the chiminea

    Trees to encourage birds

    I want to plant a wood with trees idelly suited to Mallorca that will flower and fruit and will encourage wildlife. I plant many flowers for bees and butterflies and sunflowers for the birds but I want to plant a wood. Trees must be tolerant to the dry ground in summer with minimum irrigation :lol:
