quick growing hedging !

I am looking to plant my boundry with hedging for privacy. Can anyone advise me on a fast growing hedge that will give quick results. I have looked at many, some with flowers, some without, the only stipulation really is that it grows to 2m +, easy to maintain and is thick enough to screen and secure, any ideas !!

Hedges for privacy

The hedge they use a lot in Spain is called Myoporum (or something similar) I just ask for 'hedge'. It is quick growing, easy to prune at all stages of height and the trunks burn well in the chiminea
