Hi everyone, just joined the forum

we bought a Wisteria two days ago quite tall and leafy. We replanted it in a large stone water butt, with soil (clay) and compost and plenty of water. It's wilted , can anyone help?

Wisteria

No We have had the same problem in Spain, no problem in the Uk. It must be something to do with the water and postion. In tthe Uk our house was south facing and sheltered. I think you need the position here but it needs consatnt watering

wilting wisteria

I'm assuming that there is good drainage in the pot otherwise the soil will get stagnant. All plants tend to wilt on replanting till they get there feet settled. I tend to reduce some of the foliage to reduce transpiration on planting. Also look to a shady spot till it has settled
