After Some Advice

I've just moved to Valencia, and am in a flat with a terrace. Thought it would be a nice idea to plant things, but being a novice I've no idea what plants/flowers/fruit or veg are suitable for potting/this climate/the run up to winter. I would really welcome any snippets of wisdom, anything at all.

Bourganvillae grows very easily, you can grow it in a tub, but depending on the size of your terrace - it could get quite big. It does look lovely, but try to get a variety without thorns (like rose stems :evil: ) as they could prove lethal on a terrace. There is also a variety which has an attractive variagated leaf as well as lovely flowers.

Geraniams grow well and try a lemon or orange tree in a pot - they do well and give quite a lot of fruit if they are happy with there position (a sunny terrace would be ideal).

Lemon and orange trees grow well in pots if the terrace is sunny - get quitr a lot of fruit from them if they are happy in their position.
