Absolute beginner

Hi, I am completely new to gardening, I have a reasonable size south facing terrace and want to grow veg in pots. Can anyone give me some advice on where to start. I would ideally like to grow spuds, aubergines, peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, onions, herbs, chillis. I haven't a clue where to start. Thanks in advance

Look at the space you have and the crop you hope to get. You need to be 'space efficient' Potatoes need a lot of space and are cheap to buy and you use a lot ...not a good crop. similar to onions (except spring onions) BUT peppers / aubergines / tomatoes / fresh herbs / cut and come again lettuce / small carrots plus tree fruit.
I grow aubergines and pistaccios in pots successfully.
So look to the space and the return and what is always best freshly cut
